Driver Stopping Checklist Part 1
- Leave your truck in a secure parking lot or truckstop. Park units in a reputable truckstop or secure yard at all times. Facilities with video surveillance are recommended. Be especially vigilant when operating in "hot spots"-- unsafe or high-crime areas.
- When you stop or leave your vehicle, ensure that the rig is turned "OFF" and that all doors and access panels remain secure.
- Before leaving/exiting your vehicle, look around and become familiar with your surroundings. Have a trusted person watch your vehicle.
- If team driving, always leave one person with the truck.
