Driver Stopping Checklist Part 2
- Watch for individuals with spraying equipment or other possible contaminants (even a rag can spread foreign animal disease and a small capsule can contaminate food).
- Never leave your vehicle running with the keys in it; shut off the engine and lock the doors.
- Do not stop in "hot spots"--unsafe or high-crime areas.
- Park in areas where other truckers are present.
